Avans and corona

14 December 2020

The coronavirus is still among us. A safe environment where people can work and study is important. At Avans, we focus on achieving this every day. Our students and staff can work not only online but also in our buildings, albeit to a limited extent. There are, however, a few rules we impose in connection with this. In addition to this, we comply with the guidelines set out by the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). Please comply with these! This is the only way we can keep Avans safe and healthy.

This website contains all the information you need about the corona-related measures taken by Avans and how they apply to your job or your studies at Avans. You will find the latest news about the coronavirus situation and our organisation here as well.

The most recent information can be found in the frequently asked questions. These are regularly updated in line with the latest developments and guidelines.

Download the CoronaMelder app

The CoronaMelder app has been developed by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport in collaboration with the RIVM and municipal health services (GGDs) across the country. The app is designed to supplement the contact-tracing work of the GGD municipal health services. It notifies users when they may have been exposed to the coronavirus, even if they do not have any symptoms. That way, they can avoid unknowingly passing on the virus to other people. Downloading the app is completely voluntary. For more information, see
