24 June update: ventilation and opening hours

25 June 2020 by Coronavirus

Ventilation

All ventilation systems on in our buildings extract fresh air from outside. As the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) advises against using recirculated air, some of our cooling and/or ventilation systems have been switched off. People can still work or study safely in these spaces provided they follow the RIVM’s guidelines. Where possible, we recommend opening windows in order to air the room naturally. In response to various questions from the organisation, we will focus on this once more in this update.

Opening hours in summer

Having taken stock at the schools and services, the management team has decided that the buildings mentioned below will be open from 20 July to 9 August inclusive from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The other Avans buildings will be closed during that period.

‘s-Hertogenbosch: Parallelweg 21 (EKP) and Hervenplein 2
Breda: Lovensdijkstraat LA (formerly 61).

These locations have been reopened mainly to facilitate ongoing graduation work and research. Employees must still work from home as much as possible.
