Fake e-mails in circulation about coronavirus

13 March 2020

At the moment, fake e-mails are circulating in the Netherlands, and worldwide, promising more information about the coronavirus.

These are an attempt by criminals to infect recipients with malicious software or to obtain personal information.
The fake e-mails that are circulating in the Netherlands look as if they come from the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). RIVM advises the Dutch government on the coronavirus.

Report and delete the fake e-mail immediately

If you receive an e-mail from the RIVM or from Avans that looks like the picture below, do not click anything.
